I do not claim to be an expert at this by any means, but I have had lots of success with these things!

Awesome Video man, thank you heaps! I will definetly give that a try. Can u recommend some sort of shop or company for the equirnt needed, like the Plyerthing to lock in the jighead, aswell as the lil device you have the red string in, and also where to get the fur and so on... I'd be grateful, thanks in advance!

Thanks brother, it’s an old North American technique that I’ve had some good success with over here in Europe. I got all of my stuff of Amazon, the vice (pliers) is an Atlas rotating vice, the rotating ones cost a little more and make tying those way easier, but not a necessity. The thing that holds the thread is called a bobbin, and I actually paid like 20 bucks and it came with those scissors, the bobbin, and some other little fly tying tools..the kit is by Dr. Slick. You can also use super glue to finish the jig, you don’t have to use the head cement. The bucktails are by a company called Hareline. Just make sure you buy the full bucktails, I just used micro ones for the video, they’re usually much bigger. They’re called bucktails because they are literally dyed deer tails. Let me know if that helps brother or you need me to clarify anything, like I said I bought all that stuff off of Amazon

@@TheFishingExpat mean as, bro! Thanks so much for taking your time to answer. Love the lures and love your channle! Especially that you go for Rudd/Roach, Chub, Perch and do variety fishing. You're always really positive and informative, love that! Gonna put a little workbench in my room to make some lures myself. Keep up the good work and stay the way you are, got one long term subscriber for sure! Stoked to see your next vid, greets from the South-West.

@@TheFishingExpat yep, fly fished for years (at least 40 years..........dang!!!) Retired officially a couple of years ago to do more fishing but the pandemic and family health commitments have taken priority. Will get there though
@TheFishingExpat3 жыл бұрын
Awesome, even though it’s belated, congrats on the retirement! I understand other priorities take precedent. I wish I was a better fly fisherman, but I don’t seem to have the patience for it..I just can’t seem to stay committed to really getting good at it

@@TheFishingExpat I was very lucky, an old friend of my dad's taught me. Old miner, quietly spoken with the patience of a saint. Got to put in the time though. Crossed one off the bucket list and managed a couple of sessions fly fishing on Montana rivers on vacation a few years back. Got my but kicked by some big rainbows
@TheFishingExpat3 жыл бұрын
That’s awesome man, Montana is like a fly guy’s dream..really an outdoorsman dream. I’d like to implement some fly fishing into this channel but my skills aren’t there yet, I have to keep practicing
