I do NOT recommend these. I have worked for a while on the kidney bean bag. It is beautiful. Until I got to these. After 2 whole nights, I considered throwing the bag in the trash and burning the pattern. When I do have one come out good, IT IS TOO BIG. Very frustrated. The bag is already cut out for them so what do I do but keep wasting leather and my patience. Very disappointed in these.

a very confusing moment between 13:30 až 14:30. the most important moment of the node, and you're gonna ruin it like this. The constant pulling and twisting of the knot in your hand is clumsy and diletant. Too bad for the video

Yeah no way in hell can I figure out wtf is happening and follow along to this. Just threw that piece of leather in the trash.

Those knots are called crown and wall knots. A wall goes under, a crown goes to the top.

Did you make your edge beveler? If so, do you have a video explaining how it is made? It looks very helpful!

Great work as always DG. Can you provide the tool name and link for your benchtop lace cutter that you used for paring/beveling the edges?

You should do a video on making a pare of chaps another idea is make a leather KZbin channel for kids that want to do leather

Thank you so much for showing us how to do this. My dad (born in 1922) used to make these when I was a child and I've always wondered how he did it.

Had book, lost it, buying it again. Done braiding. Great explanation, I need to buy or make my strap angle cutter. Making a purse here and now I have something to add to it. Thanks for this explanation.

Both look great!!! Braiding is a lot harder than it looks, and takes a lot of practice and patience.... ✌
