You can keep your bread bag twisty ties to use where you used the lead wire to hold back the sili-legs, as well. Nice fly.

Great pattern, smart use of materials. Any chance you have some tank footage to show how it swims?
@KevinHospodar5 жыл бұрын
Thanks - I don't have a swim tank but that have fished really well

INTERESTING! I like it a lot. This would challenge me a bit. What are your thoughts on using this as a trolling fly for trout like a Frisky Jenny? Could be very productive! 👍👍👍
@KevinHospodar6 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I don't see why it wouldn't work. It was designed to be swung on a tight line, so trolling could work.
@larryjames17587 жыл бұрын
where did you get that dubbing tool. looks like it works well.

It was a cheap/generic one. Just a lead base and a hook to hold thread. There are some really great options now... i'm going to be doing a video on loop, i'll pass along the link. Thanks for checking out the video!

Quick question... how would this do for bass? Almost reminds me of a spinner type bait.
@KevinHospodar7 жыл бұрын
i'm sure this would catch bass! you could tie it on a long shank stream hook of you wanted
@niall4417 жыл бұрын
Every fish i got last year, king,coho,steelhead was on a orange woolly bugger with flash in it.This intruder would be even better! partridge hooks are a must, don't use cheap hooks the big boys will bend them! always sharpen hooks with sharpener til they are razor sharp!
@KevinHospodar7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for checking out the video. You could easily add some flash to this pattern if you wanted, but the body being wrapped with the Opal mylar really gives some shine

You made the fireline loop too short to change the hook.
@KevinHospodar5 жыл бұрын
I never swap hooks, I think its a great idea in theory but serves me no purpose in the real world... been tying and fishing stinger style heavily since 2007 and never had a fly that I needed to swap a hook.
