Good work!. Would you please disclose what you refer to as 'acrylic', is it cement or resin?, as well as the hook brand and model?. Many thanks!

+toflyfish got a question for you. Do you use a fluorocarbon leader with this fly? If so what weight do you use?

+Blackrose 78 I dead drift this little minnow most of the time. For steelhead and brown trout in clear water, I tie my own leader, but I end with Seaguar 2x Grand Max FX tippet. It's expensive, so you could substitute for sure. I prefer the FX because it's more supple. I'm not sure fluoro helps at all in this case though. I just have confidence in this setup.

toflyfish Thanks. I believe GrandMax FX is made of Fluoro. correct me if I'm wrong.

+Blackrose 78 Yep. It's pretty good as far as fluoro's concerned.

how do you fish it? dead drift or swing?
@toflyfish7 жыл бұрын
Hey, Erik. This one is entirely for dead drifting. I will occasionally swing the White Death, which is a similar pattern, on small, clear streams. Thanks a bunch! toflyfish.com/white-death-steelhead-and-brown-trout-fly/
