Been tying something almost identical for a few years now....even down to the glue under the peacock and a very similar #12 hook! A decent trout catcher for sure!

Rather than gluing the herl with super glue, I wrap the herl two or three turns around the tying thread and wrap thread and herl together to make the thorax for a reinforced effect--another way to do it that works. I like that fly.

Nice fly again sir you should do a black pennel with floss tails red amber and green we call them traffic light pennels Up north they can be deadly for brownies and rainbows
