Great lanyards! Last summer i bought my first knife (at age 33 haha here few people carry pocketknives), a CS Recon 1 mini and i still have to make a nice lanyard for it. AND i have found a paracordshop in the Netherlands that sells the Schmuckatelli skulls wich i realy like. So thank you for the inspiration!

I tried the 'ol wet your fingers and quickly smooth the end trick. Yes, well my wife laughed when I yelped as I blistered my thumb and forefinger. Think I'll use the lighter itself to flatten the hot end next time.

Good video. I'm still trying to figure out how to do this project I'm working on. If you're going to use the first knot in this video.. how would you go about attaching a bead to the loop? It almost seems easier to cut the loop end and then tied back together. If you have a chance let me know what you think. I really do like that Barrel knot just difficulty bead placement
Great video. Only issue I am having is moving the diamond knot up. Don't know what I am doing wrong.

The beads closer to the end of the knife, are those knives back spacers or are they just casual beads?

don't know if you will see this or not but I'm wondering if I can do this with a leather bootlace or something similar or should I look for a different method?
@TheWeaversofEternity8 жыл бұрын
+Hugh Finch Leather lace can work too, but it's best if the leather lace is round. Square lace tends to get tangled and twisted.

Are those torch style lighters best for this paracord work? If so, do you recommend a particular brand?
@TheWeaversofEternity9 жыл бұрын
+John B I find jet lighters the best. I like being able to control the direction of the flame. I don't have a particular brand in specific that I can recommend though.

@TheWeaversofEternity9 жыл бұрын
Blane Biondolillo It's most likely because they gutted the paracord, so it's thinner.

Too fast, slow down!! If I were giving you guitar lessons that's what I'd needcto do. I watched this over 20 times and you spent more time showing the knife and the two strands coming from the knife than the critical turns and twists of the knot you tied. Going to another site, sorry but I'm done here.

Video was good but could have been 3 minutes shorter for all the time you showed the ends of the paracord against the back of your hand. If people are THAT slow, they can watch the section again... Lol!
