I like it. I find light colored items often at thrift stores. Sometimes they are new or like new. I’d rather practice on something that’s not expensive. The plus side is I can feel the fabric whereas when I order online it’s hit or miss. Lands End clearance sales are great also and usually I find cotton, rayon or other natural fibers. But their clothes often run very large. 👍

Definitely my favorite of the dark horse colors. They seemed to be correct in their labeling of this dye as unpredictable as I haven't seen it look the same twice. I ordered the Epic Black and it feels pretty similar to Dharma's Raven Black with maybe just a little more dark purple. Not as much as I was hoping for.

I really love this color too, and the rest of the Dark Horse dyes. I think the unpredictable aspect makes them even more fun to experiment with. Blacks are almost always great color splitters. I don't know that I've ice dyed much with Epic Black, but I do love Raven. I'll have to pay more attention to Epic Black and give it a try soon. 🙂

This is an absolutely gorgeous dress!!! I love the colors and I’m really loving the pattern. I’m like you, anytime I’m out and see clothes, I automatically go to the fiber tag to see if it will dye!!! Now, the rayon viscous fabric means it will dye as well, correct? Thanks again for an awesome tutorial!!!!
