First, we home school both of our children as well - 11 and 15yo. And, we've homeschooled from the start. :) Second, here are some videos that use Out White Brite instead of bleach. OWB is less damaging to fabrics, works almost instantly, and is mostly a safer option. for future videos, you might consider lowering the sound level of the music. If I can hear the dialog, once the music starts its at a blaring level. My neighbors are startled as I scramble for the volume. Very informative though, I like your designs

The older videos do tend to have a increase in volume between my talking and the music. That was corrected in the videos produced earlier this year.

This is by far the BEST edited control of this process of all the demo videos I've seen (and trust I've seen a lot) you didnt use the bleach randomly make that god awful spiral SHIT sick of that !!!!!!

Super awesome design, love all your dyes. Not trying to knock on you or anything but is there a reason why you wouldn't just wet the shirt and then not dilute the bleach and just pour the bleach straight on the shirt?

That wouldn't result in a consistent dilution; but, if you're not concerned about consistency, it's a possible method to try.

After you’re done and you’ve rinsed it, if you were going to add colored dye do you soak the whole thing in soda ash or just the part you bleached that you want to add color to? I guess I’m wondering what the process is for adding color once you’ve done the bleaching part. Any info or help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! 😊

The soda ash allows the Procion Dye to bond with the fibers. So, anywhere that you plan to dye the fabric needs to be soaked in soda ash. With a black shirt, you can soak the entire shirt if it's easier.

The bleach solution for this design was standard household bleach and water in a 1:1 ratio. Usage and safety instructions for bleach are printed on the bottle's labeling.

Yes, a white or light brown sinew would have been easier to see for the video; but, the only sinew I keep on hand is black since 99% of my work is with white material.

The older videos do not have anything beyond an image of the complete product - unlike the videos over the past year or so that have a 1-2 minutes of commentary included. At the time, personal commentary wasn't "in" so it wasn't added to the videos.
