Staff I found this video and it was from a year ago and the fact that you didn’t take the time and make all the plates kind of perfect and as you gather them as she went down the shirt it creates such a different and such a cool affect when the colors split. I think that’s what makes along with the colors for sure, the uniqueness of this shirt. I’m so glad I found it. And it’s kind of fun to go back in time and look at early videos of you professionals and see how far you’ve come. Because you have become a master at the art of tie-dye. I hope you always leave the old ones up.

I can’t watch the first tutorials. I get super embarrassed at how awful they are. I didn’t have any lighting and was clueless as to editing. I was really uncomfortable talking so I sound ridiculous. I was trying to be someone I’m not. What you see and hear now is the real me. I do love this shirt. It was in the first 25 shirts I had ever made. I only had a few dyes… I won’t delete them because we all have to start somewhere. If I can produce these so can anyone. Like you said, it shows how far I’ve come. Next year we will look back at today and hopefully there will be some growth. 😉 Maybe not, I’m pretty comfortable with my style. I make things that I enjoy making. Back then I was still trying to figure it out. I know for sure I prefer ice dyeing. ❤️🌈

What the difference in results with ice and powder dye and water and dye solution? If any...
@BelladonnaDyesCo Жыл бұрын
The color splits and the flows. Liquid dyeing is a solid color. Ice dyeing creates looks like this. I have over 400 videos. Look around and see if you find more things you like. The more you watch the easier it will be to understand. 😊❤️🌈
@cathyhoffmann70543 жыл бұрын
Out of curiosity, howcome you "double wrap" the sinew around it? And so tightly... I've seen it done both ways - barely tight rubberbands, and super tight sinew. I just don't quite understand the difference in methods. (just getting started with "real" tie dying...not just a basic spiral or bullseye. LOL) Thanks for your videos! They're fantastic.
@BelladonnaDyesCo3 жыл бұрын
Sinew creates the white lines. It’s a wax string that resists dye. If it isn’t pulled tightly the dye will bleed. Watch some of my heart tutorials. It might help you better understand. Have fun playing around. That’s how we learn. ❤️🌈

Wow , that is really beautiful and unique ! @BelladonnaDyesCo3 жыл бұрын
Hi, Kristi! Go for it. That will be a pretty color combination. Just know that turquoise and fuchsia red are the primary colors and they don’t split. On an incline they will still streak though. 12 colors is a good start. Keep adding a few here and there and before you know it you’ll have all the colors. I’m glad you like watching. I’m happy to hear it. 😁❤️🌈

Celestial flash freeze epicness! As a person who has never made a tie dye, but has a the desire to dive right in to next level design,hehehe...can this type of design be achieved by using Tulip One Step Dye and mimicking your steps. Only without the powdered dye and ice method? Super curious, because it's Amazing and it's the only product I've got. Thank you or anybody else who has a second to reply ;) Keep up the great work, that piece of art made me sub.
@BelladonnaDyesCo2 жыл бұрын
You can use the tulip kit as an ice dye. You can also liquid dye on an incline but it will be different looking. There is no right or wrong way to apply dye. You can do liquid over ice for a different effect. Just have fun while doing it. Thanks for the sub! ❤️🌈
