Thank you so much! It’s not hard to use but it contains particles so it’s best to use a respirator when dealing with it and some people with sensitive skin say it bothers their skin as well but that’s easily avoidable with gloves. Soda ash is sodium carbonate so it’s the exact same stuff you use in pools or even for washing clothes 😊

Since the whole shirt isn't being dyed can you just spray the area that you are dyeing with soda ash water solution? Or add soda ash to the actual dye? I know you then need to use all the dye quickly but am only going to mix up enough for this shirt. Thanks

Yeah that should work…spray it on and let sit for 20 minutes and then spray again right before the dye ☺️

RIAH, important question !!! I am bleaching my black shirts and then ring the hydrogen thing. My soda ash does it arrive until later today. Is that ok ?

Yup! Make sure you let those shirts sit in the hydrogen peroxide mix for at least 20 minutes so the bleach stops working and then wash those shirts in the washing machine. Then when the soda ash shows up you can use it just like you would a white shirt ready for dye ☺️❤️

Hi! Thanks for the question! I reuse my soda ash until the water appears to be dingy or if it starts to have an odor. Also make sure if there is any settlement at the bottom of your bucket that you stir it often. Thank you so much for your support!!! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜💖

Hi and thank you for your question. So after the soda ash I spin the shirt out in the washer and tie it up and dye it while damp. As long as the shirt is damp and not sopping wet I find it works better. I hope this helps😊💙

Hi! Thanks for your question! I use a 5 gallon bucket and mix a half cup of soda ash per gallon of water. Then all you do is soak whatever you want to dye for at least 20 minutes 😊

You actually do not, but I would still recommend it. RIT Dye is an all purpose dye so the color will bond with fabric just fine, but the soda ash will make it more of a guarantee. Hope this helps😊
