Richard.... you have just given me a valuable lesion about tying knots. Crappie fishing is by far my favorite. I have always used live minnows but I want to learn how to catch'em with jigs so that's what my goal is this summer and upcoming fall season. Great video!! Tell Elmo hello for me and keep up the good work. Your the best. ROLL TIDE ROLL !!!!

you take your time in explain how to tie these knots, and your camera work is close to show exactly what you are doing. Thanks for all your great videos and with showing HOW to do things. When you are on the water fishing, I would like to see you show MORE of what bait/rig you are using and why, rather than just watching you catch fish, which is still great to watch. You have converted me to using lighter lines for panfish. Thanks....

I love all three of these knots and I learned how to tie all of them from watching this video. I love the loop knot for jigs. When I'm using live baits on a hook, I tie that hook on with the Palomar knot. If I'm using crankbaits, the trilene knot is what I like to use. They all hold really good! Thank you for this video! I really appreciate it!

Great video. What are the advantages of the knots you use for certain size line? If the palomar is the strongest knot, and it is so easy to tie (in my opinion), why not use if for all size line? Thank you

I've come to realize that the loop knot keeps the (crappie) jig at a level presentation. Plus the loop knot is just as good as the Palomar knot when using a real light test line with small fish. Also the mouth on crappie are real feeble and has a lot of give?

Every time I tie a palomar knot on a jig the main line and the tag end come out all kinked up. Why is that? What am I doing wrong? It happens on mono and fluorocarbon.

I have heard tying a knot in a relationship ain’t so easy that knot slipped into very nutty nuptuals. Tie that in a double knot. Sometime you have to jig and finesse your girl just right or it turns real crappie LOL I’m laughing at this
