Thanks I tried several how to tie a tie videos, but yours was one that gave me success! Very to the point with both example and follow along instructions. My husband suffered a stroke and is not able to tie his own tie. So I had to learn. It took only two practices before I tied the perfect! Thanks again from Hemingway SC

wonderful tutorial! thank you very much, I've always been a half windsor type of guy but I think the full windsor looks less messy and more symmetrical, I was searching just for that video :) it's funny to see that the windsor knot is just a half windsor but you repeat one step on the other side, I wouldn't have thought of that :) (add a dimple to that and it looks sooo good)

Half Windsor is pretty simple once you practice a few times! I also think it looks better than the 4 in hand as the triangle becomes more symmetrical

What's the benefit of doing the full windsor the way you do it? You start yours just like a half windsor, where most I see start the full windsor by cossing once and going back to front for the 1st shoulder.

Why anyone would want to learn (or teach) the four-in-hand is beyond me. Its one of the ugliest looking knots ever and there's no reason not to wear a symmetrical knot like the full- or half-Windsor whatever the shirt collar shape.That said, I love all your videos.
@ReefKnotsUK6 жыл бұрын
Darren Bannister I always wear a half Windsor because it’s a much more attractive knot in my opinion. We also use it for all our product photography. But lots of people swear by a tight and tiny four-in-hand knot!
@eyeheartsushi22126 жыл бұрын
Darren Bannister I agree, Darren. The four-in-hand looks lazy. It's the knot for those who want to look like they can't tie a necktie.
