You mentioned about getting your pheasant perpared for tying. Some pheasant in the bags are " flat " so I usually get a round tall pill bottle and use to help form a curve by wetting the herl and rubbing around the bottle, making sure to keep them wet for a few hours, then they hold a great curved shade for tying in. 👍.

To prepare pheasant crest I do the following: 1) Pluck feathers 2) Boil a pot of water 3) Remove pot from heat 4) Place feathers in hot water 5) Stick feathers on neck of wine bottle to dry (lay straight) 6) Remove feathers
