I’ve been tying flies for as long as I can remember, and each fly tying video you post I keep learning new things. That tip with the floatant is a great tip. Thanks for sharing and great video 👍

Some really good tips in there Lindsay. I was thinking of trimming the bottom hackles just as you mentioned doing so. First top tip. Second which I have mentioned a few times on my videos. Putting floatant on well before use, allowing to dry. I see loads of people putting it on and straight into the water. They wonder why it never works very well. On the bank I will apply and have a cuppa. Oh great pattern bye the way. I will fish this pattern through the year. And accounts for a lot of fish. Nice one Lindsay. Take care. Shaun.

Thanks Shaun, you are right trying to fish the fly straight after application seldom ends well.

Great pattern thanks Lindsay, the teased out seals fur is a step beyond where I've gone. Putting on floatant well prior to going to the water is a great tip

Just saves a bit of time, sometimes you only have a short window.

One of the underrated staples of our fishing from mid August into October. Can be any colour or size down to a #16. Even works with boobie eyes. When using as a wet fly it can pay to have some with a hen, softer cock hackle, or combination normal hackle with a front of partridge or mallard.

Aren’t we all Jon! Have a look at this kzbin.info/www/bejne/i6fZoWlvjceemrMsi=JwJmlUoCDXXeklvf I found them great. Had lens replacement in my eyes this year and it has made a huge difference to me 👍

Love this fly ma man! Evening tie in my view here 'across the pond - fishing rivers and streams in Colorado'. Ohhh yeah, that super-buggy black silhouette (indicator) on the blinding dark-chrome water surface. Small , 12ish and thin to win me thinks - lethal fer sure. Also can't thank you enough for the old school materials - animal, tinsel, a hook and wife's nail polish.
