Where do you find ostrich herl with such LONG individual feathers ??? I've been tying these and the herl I have is barely long enough to wind around a size 14 hook.

Brian Quinn looking back that’s the one thing I would change about this video. Lol. That was just one of those freak packs I found somewhere. Don’t get hung up on the length it will still catch fish. I believe it’s more the profile of the body than the legs.

I'm suprised more people don't fish the Missouri style scud which is just dubbing,wire,and a hook and then the dubbing is brushed for legs.
