True practice transcends any need for pants. All this Gracie stuff is of limited use against pantsless opponents and is indoctrinating wrongly. I'm not saying Rener isn't good but everything he ever shows is with him in pants. Or against other guys in pants! Haha Nice video Rener! There s so many OBVIOUS shit people can't figure by themselves... Just like belts... a belst is NOT supposed to cross at the back... there is a way to tie your belt without it crossing on your back... I figured this myself when I was a white belt in Kyokushin Karate... and yet you see nidans and even sandans (2nd dan and 2rd dan black belts... thats like 10 freaking years of training) that didn't figured this out yet... For the BJJ pants, the very first time I put on my BJJ pants I figured this out myself... Its soooooo obvious, and yet, people cant seem to use their brains! I mean... for a white belt... fine... I reckon not everybody has the same level of logic... but when I see a freaking black belt that can't fucking tie a pair of pants or a stupid belt... I mean... come on! Every Dojo should spend 5 minutes per month to teach newcomers how to tie a belt properly... Hell I even saw a freaking Senseï with a belt tied improperly... You are 3rd dan, and giving a class... please... please tie your belt properly... please...
@turmat0110 жыл бұрын
Maybe I'm too much into the traditional aspect of martial arts... but to me it's important... BJJ is a lot more relaxed and casual than say, Kyokushin, but still, tying your belt properly is a must... And for Karate schools, counting or giving techniques names in english (or french near where I live)... thats a big no-no... How hard is it to learn to count to 10 and learning a couple simple words (left, right, front, back, side, go, stop, relax, etc.) in japanese... Thats how it was at my first Karate school... No one ever said "roundhouse kick"... its a freakin Mawashi geri... a drop kick is a kakato orochi geri... learn them once and for all! It's not that hard!
@BadBrad11910 жыл бұрын
all the time I see world class Judo Olympians tie with crossover in 2 seconds, and the belt comes undone in 1 minute. I tie my BJJ belt the traditional way with one different step so it doesn't come undone. I will use it for Judo as well when I start that. I can't see myself doing Kyokushin though. Not unless I was in Japan. I do Muay Thai at my local gym
@turmat0110 жыл бұрын
yeah you probably tie it the same way I do! I saw a video on youtube a few years back that showed a variation on the knot thats makes the knot apear the exact same way, but the knot it 10x stronger! In kyokushin it was a big problem too, by moving and punching and especially receiving punches and kicks it would pull on the belt and undo it througout the fight... With this knot I never had an issue again. didn't get to try it for BJJ as I practised nogi, I used to wear gi pants but a t-shirt or rashguard instead of a gi top.
