Thank you for this video! Short and to the point. My son is 17yrs. old and has had dreads since he has had hair. I always twist the loose hair, but it never stays in place very long. I used your palm roll method and it looks great!

I've been wearing Locs for over 15 years. I always did mines that way ( but first I would mist them with spring water, before I apply small amount Gel. ) The interlocking and things of that nature is new to me but I'm open to it all but I'm just saying I always twist put the clip on air dry or sit under a med cool setting blow dryer ). and it worked for me.

Make it look do easy I'm still learning how to twist practice makes perfect now I see that you added a little product to his hair is that to keep the dreads from unraveling

Retwist less often and use oil sheen every few days on the scalp and locs.

Ok i am brand new to this natural hair, and I am looking to retwist my sons locks. I thought this video was awesome! Now I see feedback that suggests thid method isn't a good one I am going to try her way of twisting and see how it goes.
@Aynotel49877 жыл бұрын
Cicely Carroll hair must be wet/washed/ conditioned then apply products. never do without hair being wet. locs require washing also. I would wash mine in apple cider vinger. I would full sink with water and apple cider vinger and dip my whole head the water would be filthy because locs hold dirt easy.
@ZELLIOTTONE7 жыл бұрын
L. Ross woah so i should clean my locs with apple cider vinger to get the dust out of it?😮

I'm surprised that this video is a top video in google, mainly because it has age. "PRODUCTS" are not meant for locs, check out locs by Yannie or Damian Walter, they really are the only experts I've come across that knows what they are talking about. She doesn't even have locs to know how to care for them.

Burning Panda MilkShake HD ok i was using taliah wajid gel for my locks, so now i think i will stop it and lock with water
@pandamilkshake8 жыл бұрын
sniperrrish Well to be honest, what I suggest is that you don't pay SO much attention on your dreads, you know? Like...get yourself a crochet hook (0.8 milimetre or less) and just fix 'em whenever they start loosening. You need to understand that dreadlocks is not an instant hairstyle. It requires a maturing time and so you have to kinda let it be and fix em whenever they get too loose (like my ex-girlfriend).
@sniperrrish8 жыл бұрын
Burning Panda MilkShake HD thanks man, actually i have dreads for 2 years but i always touched the front of my hair so this part didn't locked so i try to lock them with some gel ^^ (and why do you mean by ''get to lose'' ? ai don't really understand, i'm french

putting gel or wax in dreads its not a good idea because they leave residue and its hard to get residue out of the dread and with too much residue inside for a long time dreads will smell bad
