Obviously a year later than you, I’ve just recently became aware and educated in growing/raising worms. Light bulbs went off. Do you remember the movie called Heroes with Henry Winkler and Sally Field from the mid 70’s. The character Henry plays was going to start a worm farm. OMG. Why did it take so long for my light to go on. It took me retiring and having the time to venture out and learn new things. I hope your worm farm is going great. I just ordered my first live meal worms and red wiggle worms. I’m a little worried of my climate being too hot for them, I live in S FL, in the summer it’s very hot and humid. I was hoping to grow them on my covered screen back porch, but if it’s too hot I guess I’ll have to find a place inside. I’ve just started with my first baby chicks for eggs. That’s how I stumbled upon worm farming. I hope 🤞 and pray I’m able to keep the chickens and worms happy and healthy.

Banana peels: Good idea, but only if you bought organic bananas. Regular bananas are treated with pesticides heavily and they are even plunged in fungicide before transport, you don't want to feed the residues of that to your animals.

Your reptiles are so cute. I've been raising my own morio worms for a couple years now on a smaller scale tough because I only have 3 T's. I've been giving the beetles a soda cap of jell for liquid and from what you're saying I really don't need that. They get sliced apple and baby carrots to eat but I do see them at the jell. For their protein craving I also treat them with small cubes of dehydrated chicken. It's a dog treat I buy at the store in a pouch. Lol! No other added ingreds or preservatives are in them, just chicken. My worms like them, too. Very informative video and easy to follow for the beginner. BTW, I've had the same beetles for about 2 years now with a few deaths. A very long lived species. I've started out with 14 and don't put oats in there. Just take the babies out with small tongs when they get a little bigger and into a container with oats and the other worms. It's a very small scale but works for my purpose. I can't believe they lived this long. I started it with the start of covid and the shut down. I was concerned I wouldn't be able to buy feeders. Amazing.
