Mr. Hal, I read that white, lime green, yellow, and beige vehicles are generally the easiest to see. Red isn’t a particularly safe color for vehicles just like black, blue, and green. Surprising since so many fire trucks are red. P.S. That block of wood looks like cheap insurance.

We had a similar experience with yellow in our dept. By about 1975 all our equipment was yellow and stayed that way until the mid '90's when they started going back to red. There is a lot of data and research that says fire trucks should be painted just like the truck you are towing. I see you know what a "real" siren is with that Federal Q on the front bumper. I always liked the yellow color.

Mr. Hal, correct me if I'm wrong sir but is all you did just put it into pump and let the PTO "take the heat" so to speak by leaving the drive train in nuetral and not actually "put power" to the pto(if rig was on and running)? if so that is an awesome trick. As a fireman and tow truck driver on the side I will have to remember that trick if I get sent to grab a rig.

Mr. Hal, When you're explaining the neutral selector in the gearbox, there are 2 pedals on the left hand side on the floor. They resemble the old school engine brake pedals that I had in my 1973 A model Kenworth log truck. Why are there two of them? What do they do?

Nice teaching vlog, the only thing I would still do it pull the drive line, if it still turns in transit, if there is any drive lines spinning in transit without load on the universe joints it has a strong chance of slinging its self apart, at least that’s what happened to one f the call recovery specialist drivers that I replaced at the veterans towing company that I work for in California Tehachapi mountains, loll nice thanks Hal praise Jesus grace Christ amen 🙏 From God , BigAl California.
