This is the exact information I need for my '97 T100. I gotta replace the shift solenoids. It's had a 30 mph top speed for about a year. Time to get her back on the road.

Getting ready to put new transmission in my 96 T100 fully restore her to her full glory

I just came across your channel. Looks to be pretty interesting. I can't wait for new content. Is this a T100 help forum as well? If so, I have a quick question. I'm pulling the carpet from my 96 because it needs to be replaced, and water leaks in when it rains. Is there a good way to tackle the leak? There's not a whole lot of information on this for T100s. Thanks.

Thanks for the comment Damian. Ill be sharing more adventures very shortly so be sure to ring the bell for new videos. As for the leak, I would check the weather strip where the door seals to the cab and all of the window seals. There aren't many other places for water to get in.

Good vidya! My fluid was really nasty when I drained it. I got the old a340 out of my ‘97 T100 laying on the work bench right now. Gonna tear it down, rebuild it and try to sell it. Is it an a340 h, f, e or what’s the letter designation?
@keepinitt10085 жыл бұрын
RamblerClassicMan this is actually an Aisin 30-40LE but it should be nearly identical to the A340 series
@ramblerclassicman2215 жыл бұрын
Keepin It T100 thats interesting. I looked at my door plate and it said a340h but i will have to look at the transmission itself. I hope they are similar :)
@keepinitt10085 жыл бұрын
The door card on my truck refers to it as an A340F but the trans plate itself says 30-40LE . My research tells me they essentially the same trans.

Was this the first time you changed the fluid? I just got one brother. 158k miles. Previous owner looks like he never changed it. You recommend I drain in fill?

Hello, any idea where i can buy the door latches for T100 1997, aside from ebay and the junkyard? Its made by Aisin. Toyota told me to check other newer models that maybe similar. Thanks.

You did not replace the filter?
@keepinitt10084 жыл бұрын
Correct. It is not really necessary but the biggest reason I did this was to fix the leaking pan.
@MrJames68915 жыл бұрын
Looking for your .02. Should I replace radiator, top off transmission with new fluid and then drop transmission filter after a few hundred miles to get more old at fluid circulated out or just do the Auto trans filter, fluid, radiator, coolent at same time. My trans shift late from 2nd to 1st.
@keepinitt10085 жыл бұрын
james PrO Personally I would do it all at once. If you want to get more old fluid out you can do another fluid change (drain and fill) at your next oil change interval.
