I have below queries regarding fibonacci assuming I'm using 5 mins chart for entry/exit.... 1) Should I be drawing fibonacci on 5 mins chart interval or daily chart interval? 2) Can I consider previous day's swing high and low and draw fibonacci? 3) If I draw fibonacci as above (and assuming downtrend) then can I change the swing low as time progresses? Thanks Sameer 1. Yes you should be drawing on a 5 minute chart. 2. Yes you can. Fibonacci retracement can be drawn over 1 day, 2 days or even 3-5 days. No hard and fast rule here. Thanks for your comment. 1. Test it on real time basis. You can use 3 min as well. Although, I have tested this on 5min & 15 min. 2. Forward testing - 100 trades. You need this to get 'Risk related' data. Anything less than 100 trades is of limited use. 3. I set it at S1 and then at S2 depending on momentum.

Thanks Aishwarya Time frame you can choose based on your comfort. I prefer 5 min time frame as it works well for me on Intraday basis. There is no right or wrong way to draw fibonacci here. You can consider it over 1 day, 2 days or 3-4 days as well. But, make sure prior move is in place. As a starting point, Index should have prior move of 3% + and Stocks 5% or more. What happens if you take the swing low and swing high on the current day itself (within the first 3 hours). Nice and simple way for intraday, the only challenge is, how to draw Fibo's if we have straight up or down move then we can but if we have in between pullbacks then identifying high and low fibos drawings is the confusion.

There is no right or wrong way to draw fibonacci here. You can consider it over 1 day, 2 days or 3-4 days as well. But, make sure prior move is in place. I am using zerodha platform and doing commodities intraday trading. I genarally use 1hr time frame for trading. If I change the time frame to 15 mins or 30 mins, pivot lines are changing automatically. What is the problem sir?
