Great video, Paul. I was literally mouthpiece buzzing lip slurs when I saw this video pop. I am certainly not a beginner but your content always brings me back to the basics and it helps me focus on the key aspects of playing the trombone. Keep it up!!

I started playing trombone half a year ago and your videos are really helpful! I listen to your album as well, love it. Saving up for your exercise book, and a new better trombone, currently using a 30something year old trombone

Its nice to see that my trombone teacher isnt the Only one who is using these exercises. Of course, you go through them in a wonderfully simpler way that most trombonists understand. I hope that you projected that way of explaining things into your book. If so, I simply need to order it online ☺️👏.

I always thought that with trombone that there was no way that you couldn’t use your tongue ( except when your goin against the grain) but see how you improvised without tongue it got me thinking. Thanks for the vid Paul there great

I notice I play with fast strong air when I'm on my mouthpiece but I tend to slow the air when I play on my horn, maybe it's a resistance problem, any tips?
@thetelescopeyard97606 жыл бұрын
love the vids! I am a beginner and was wondering how often should I practice? I know breaks are important but is playing everyday too much for the muscles? or should I just be playing ever other day? thanks.

Great video Paul. I'd argue 10 mostly used partials though because of the F on top of the D partial.

Lip slurs are navigating the lip state through rhe pitches. Air is related to dynamics, not pitch.
