How to Train Your Dog to Get Off Furniture

Do you want your dog to stay off the furniture? Or maybe they are allowed up there but sometimes you want to move them? How about teaching them to get into and out of the car or bathtub on their own? This video will provide you with the information needed to teach all these concepts! There is still enough time to teach this before the holiday coming up to make your family gathering much easier. It can be great for new puppies as well as the adult dogs who are getting older and could use some help.

Okay hopefully you respond to my question. I have been telling my dog off and I have to drag him off so he’s already defiant about the couch. How do I train him in a positive way to get up and get down because I think he already doesn’t like to get down so how do I really enforce the behavior of get down and you’ll get a treat.

Then LOTS of reinforcement for being on the ground! Set him up a comfy spot that is all his own right next to the couch and provide lots of rewards for being there.

The easiets solution is to not own any dogs. Dogs aren't indoor pets. They are an invasive species and opportunistic mutated scavengers. They are literally designed to just roam around outdoors and eat rotten cadavers.
