I know Stoick has made mistakes in the past you girls weren't proud of, but he loved his family so much and he had love in his heart for dragons after all, even Toothless.

@@captain_clutch I love Stoick, I do. But he definitely wasn't a good father in Hiccup's earlier years as we see in the beginning of HTTYD1. He loved him, yes, but he didn't accept him nor wanted to really know Hiccup for who he is. He was dissapointed and made no effort to hide that. He WANTS a relationship with Hiccup but put in no effort to get to know his son. He became one of the best parents of any franchise but ultimately once he realised that Hiccup wouldn't turn out to be a typical viking he gave up on him.

@@Kikiricki11 Yep. Stoick needed to see dragons the way Hiccup sees them. They are creatures trying to survive, and raiding Berk is one of the ways to survive.

This is my most favorite movies of all time. It's more emotional that the series, and the first film, and it's one of the reasons I love HTTYD franchise. I don't know the pain of losing a father, and I can't imagine the pain that we go through with it. Stoick being a single father can't be easy. Knowing that your love of your life was supposed to be dead, and that moment where they ask Valka to come back home; Hiccup had everything he wanted: a loving father, a reunited mother, and the girl of his dreams. I hope people know that watching this franchise can realize how a bond can be with a parent, and child is sacred, and the one true love for you, and the friendships with your friends you carry throughout your life will always be the thing to keep going no matter what life throws at you❤. As they say a Chief protects his own. Thank you 😊

I love this movie. Although the first was amazing this one was amazing also. It shows how strong is the bond between dragon and master / father and son. Stoik's death made me cry although I'm 25 😅. Love your reactions keep up the good work ❤

You just have to watch a TV series about dragons, not only because of the awesome connection with the second part and the explanation of some things (like Stoick's dragon and Hiccup's sword) but also because of the plot in principle. They dive deeper into what happened on that 5 year gap between the first film and this. They expand on Hiccup and Astrid's relationship, Hiccup and his dad, as well as flesh out the rest of the gang, and how Berk adapted to living with dragons. You should also watch the Gift of the Night Fury holiday special because the events of that are referenced in the next film. And if you like watching Astrid and Hiccup's relationship develop (since when have they been engaged, for example) then you just won’t be able to stop watching this series))))

It's called empathy, something you probably don't have or understand. When you get to know someone deeply whether real or fictional in this case you experience feelings for them. You probably wouldn't be as sad about someone you don't know passing away as you would for someone close to you that you know deeply. Whatever the case people can do, feel, or think anyway they want about anyone or anything; you have that liberty as well
