This video has solved my knee pain in both knees after struggling with patellofemoral pain for YEARS. All it took was a few sessions on the leg extension machine as described in this video. I had long suspected there was a muscular imbalance causing my pain, but this video confirmed that it was a weak VMO. I've seen countless doctors, PTs, you name it. I tried strengthening my abductors, my hamstrings, my IT band, my calf muscles, and I also tried VMO exercises in the past, but they weren't effective like in this video. I've also tried foam rolling, stretching, tapings, tons of different bracings, heat therapy, PRP, yoga, deep massage, etc etc. But the simple modified leg extension in this video solved it. Studies claim that the VMO can't be isolated. While this is true, it CAN be emphasized more than the vastus lateralis which is commonly overstrengthened. Thank you!
@sergioviccinialonzo5014 жыл бұрын
man I hope this works for me, as soon as the gyms open I'll do that too. My pain has been killing me too for almost two years, I had to kiss goodbye to hiking, running, lifting, and so many other things I loved doing because of the damn pain. I developed patellar maltracking after arthroscopy and a bad recovery...I wouldn't wish this even to my worst enemy. This thing has cost me almost 20 pounds of muscle loss. Your comment gives me a bit of hope.

Resulted in tendonitis and degrading cartilage. So, I get the place,eat of feet on the leg press - either turning the toes out or a wide stance with the toes off the platform (these are variations in the horizontal plane). But how do you know where to place your feet in terms of the vertical plane? In other words, How do you know where your feet go relative to how far away they are to the plane of your body. With your heels directly below your shoulders, that would be in the plane, but it looks like the feet are more above that?
