You are so kind. I am too old to get a bird and be around long, but oh, how I would love one. Thank you for your videos, and if I had a bird I would follow your training ways.

Oh, how I wish. I live in an apartment and can't have even a fish. Awful, huh? I enjoy these videos more than I can tell you, and my life is much better since finding the birds and puppies, and kittens. Bless ya! Karen

You might have a bird sanctuary in your city that you can visit on a regular basis. Check around and see.

Karen Frazer If you are near a big city you might find one. Look for conservatories; in my case, the Bloedel Conservatory is located in Vancouver, and it has dozens of beautiful tropical birds. Since I can't drive, I have to wait until I meet with my dad to go there, but it is still possible.

Since some birds can mimick different voices pretty accurately, I think it would be cool, to teach a bird famous movie quotes by various actors. Like if someone starts petting the bird he could mimick Charlton Heston in Planet of the Apes and say, "Take your stinking paws off me you damn, dirty ape!". Or if you ask the bird if you can pet him, he quotes Clint Eastwood in Dirty Hairy and says, "Go ahead, make my day." Or if someone says to the bird, "you're so funny.", he does Joe Pesci in Good Fellas and says, "Funny how? Funny like a clown, like I'm here to amuse you?". Then when you say goodbye, the bird does Arnold in Terminator2 and replies, "Asta la vista, baby." Ask the bird, "Who are you?", and he replies in a raspy Micheal Keaton voice, "I'm Batman". Or say "Who's Marlon Brando?", and he screams, "Stelllaaa!!". That would make a hilarious act.

I have a grey to that is somewhat clicker trained. (In progress) you did a great job but all these people asking really common sense questions esp about diet, bathing, biting, expenses. Please please do your research before deciding on a grey. Yes they are amazing birds to me but can be one of the most stubborn, loud, picking, expensive, biting, & given up on birds. You should already know the basic questions like the 3 basic important comands, whats toxic bc theres alot that can kill them

My Chinchilla had a bell in his cage on a suede shoe lace. It was cute; after he'd shake the bell, he'd run to the front of his cage & stand with both paws folding over the other; leaning in anticipation of seeing meI'd reply by going over to hime could see me lay down, soon as I did? ring;ring;so I'd have to get up go see him. When I searched to buy a horse one mare's owners told me she's clicker trained I didn't know whether to feel dumb"for not knowing clicker training" or just being myself, while holding back what I really felt. Anyway, I didn't get that horse but was gifted an Egptian Arabian stallion, sabino(Pattern of white markings,Sabino) double registered. He's with me still, no clicker, we do excersizes to build his confidence. He's a ten point mover & we have ribbons/trophy but aren't much into the shows; but do like them most times & a jump no higher than 3', if it's in the trail course or somewhere, maybe, as I don't believe a horse*should jump much,& very low heigh if so. A horse cannot see the jump as he gets closer; that's why he has to turn his head. So he can see the jump. If that was my bird, I've an african grey ,I'd use a light sounding bell, but probably my cue would be one simple word/sound from me.They are living thinking reasoning, artisians; very intelligent with strong feelings.ALL THE BEST TO YOU:.& Your cute BIRDs xxo---SABLE & Tornado

omg that picture, I found him each time; the last no, I'm sooo sorry; I wish wild animals weren't pets. He looks good, I bet you take him out too;? I'd bring my African Gray shopping, picks out what he wants. NO I didn't have his wings clipped. So called a vet, so that if he did fly off outside? He couldn't go 60 feet, but flutter around 10 feet or so, GOOD LUCK TO YOU AND YOUR BEAUTIFUL BIRD oxx...SABLE & Baby; missing African gray

Sorry one more comment in my group of 3. Do as much research as possible as you should know all the basics to end up with the best grey possible bc some try so hard & they are stubborn and still might always be dome what a biter or not hamdable but you can do other tricks. I got a grey that was in 3 homes & hated people but I have tons of experience with birds & I am just begging you to do research. They are my fav bird & I help rehabilitate them. Please learn the basics first by all sources!

I have a qts, I just got an african grey couple of days back who is just 4 months old. He is perfectly healthy and active. I have hand feed him 2 - 3 times daily and give him organic pellets (always available to him) mixed with nuts along with fruits and vegetables in intervals. The thing that bothers me is that he always keeps eating again and again when he is put in his cage. Is this normal or should I take away his food when I think he has had enough.

What is the treat food you give her? We have an African Grey who is new to us. She's 11yo foster bird. We want to train her, but do not want to feed her too much nuts, especially peanuts, which were her fave previously and we do not feed her at all, or cashews, which are also very fatty. Ww tried sunflower seeds in the shel lm, but she hasn't taken a liking to them yet. What do you give her for treats when she does a good job?
