I'm using a MacBook Pro on MacOS for this method, not a smartphone on iOS nor Android, sorry.

I am 10% of the way through the video and I have counted 11 steps, all of them involving software I have never heard of with no idea of what it's for.

And ... did you go thru it all ? Hopefully yes by now ..

Hi, Thank you for sharing your thoughts-I really appreciate your feedback! 😊 I can see how the detailed walkthrough might feel overwhelming at first. My goal was to make the process crystal clear, but I understand it might come across as too much information upfront. To simplify: the method is actually just 3 main steps : (1) get the audio file, (2) write the notes in the piano roll screen by ear in Logic Pro, (3) edit the score sheet in MuseScore, and the detailed instructions are there to guide viewers of all experience levels. If you’re unfamiliar with the softwares, I’d be happy to point you toward resources or suggest alternative tools that might work better for you. Thank you again for watching and taking the time to comment-it helps me improve future videos! 🙌

Three easy steps. Step 1 do this, Step 2 do this. Step 3, run this $200 program on your $2000 mac that you don't have.

KZbin, splitter.ai and MuseScore are free to use and available on both PC and Mac. I'm sure one can find a free DAW on PC with functionalities similar to Logic Pro, and adapt my method to it.

Would the standard Garage band do, I wonder ?

Hm, why not convert the brass part audio file into midi ? I think, you can convert audio in midi instead of adding each note … and then you have to further edit of course but this is a much faster workflow. Maybe I’m wrong … I hope not😊

Hi! Thanks for the comment. I tried many times to use audio-to-midi converters, but I must admit the result was always very poor and full of errors that need to be corrected manually. So, eventually, I find my proposed method more reliable, and not very time-consuming for "normal" frequency of transcription (I would say a dozen of sheets per year max). Thanks for watching!

many original music composers are turned off of the idea of having online services to ingest, save, analyze, and train their AI bots to basically steal and repurpose musical compositions. offline solutions are better and protect the composers rights.

Appreciate your feedback!! Can you suggest a viable offline method ? I'm looking to convert vocals to score, but wondered is there a simple shortcut tool out there which can help me extract this ?

@@StBrigidsTempleHEALING RipX will allow you to break out tracks from a final mix to individual instruments and a separate vocal track. AnthemScore will allow you to convert each separate track into sheet music. Both are offline solutions.

Songwriters , composers, producers that use online programs,DAW , or anything that require online activities are low end of branch with nothing valuable creations. Stealing software get your infos in few seconds of your years work. Or they are in teams with big labels and they do instant copyright protection. Looking at the music "quality " today those teams are fingers of one hand . Good point you resumed my own thoughts.

Hello, Thank you for your feedback, and I’m sorry to hear you feel your time was wasted. My goal is always to make the process as accessible as possible, and I appreciate you pointing this out. While Logic Pro is a paid software, many of the techniques I demonstrated can probably be adapted to free tools like GarageBand or Audacity, with a bit of creativity and ingenuity. Thanks again for watching the video and sharing your thoughts-it helps me improve for the future. 😊
