Yes I have a samsung chromebook, have to use your fingernail to push it way in, it clicks in place. To remove, you push it in again until it clicks, then it will pop back out.

This was helpful... If anything just for confirming that something isn't working correctly on my Chromebook. I have a micro SD card from my dash cam and I wanted to download the footage. I push the micro SD card into the slot and it clicks in place, but the My Files window doesn't automatically open and when I try to open My Files to locate the SD card myself, it doesn't recognize it apparently. Any ideas for what I could check to try to fix this?

Hi Video was fine, but my friends Chromebook does not have slots to insert sd cards. So brought a card read that was supposed to be suitable for the Chromebook but the part to put into charger slot is to wide.
