Have an old Motorola Droid mini & upgraded to a Moto G power. Tried to get SMS texts & call log transferred. Spent hours trying several apps. Some could not be installed on the Droid. Then came across this suggestion. WOW how easy it was!!!! Thank you!!!!

This really touched my heart. I was trying to save messages from my late dad as well. Unfortunately, this app didn't transfer all of the messages to my new phone, and my dad's messages were part of the few that didn't transfer over. But fortunately I was still able to save them to my computer.

It worked the first time for me (Nokia > Sony) transfer, but the pleasing part was that it was easy to revert back to my normal Messaging App without any issues at all, great Content & Tutorial !

Do they get deleted from original phone? Or is this just a case they are replicated on the new phone and still on old phone? Thanks very much. Last time I changed phones Motorola used Bluetooth to transfer from old to new, and it was a breeze. This time around it was a nightmare going from my old G4 to the new G30. I was eventually able to complete a partial transfer, but not the SMS or call logs. I did have a bit of trouble with the phone pairing, and the first attempt at transfer failed, otherwise all good!

Cheers for this man. I transfered the messages and stuff from my wifes Samsung A70 to her S20FE. Worked perfectly Turns out I didn't need it though, Samsung has software that does it all, everything.. haha. Great video though, much appreciated.

@@na_k really good. My wife has it and loves it. Good battery life and a nice screen. It takes awesome night time pics, best we've had yet on a phone, the slo mo 8s pretty good too. The only minor problem is the lack of headphone socket, my Sony is the same and the adaptors I use (USB C -3.5mm) don't work, comes up as incompatible yet work on other brands so for us it's Bluetooth only. Great phone otherwise.

If so did you use that to transfer text messages? How far back can you go to transfer text messages? Can you transfer texts from 2019? I have to replace my moms phone but want to transfer some texts from 2019. Is that possible?. I read somewhere that smart switch only goes 2 years back. If that is the case then 2019 is 3 years, so I cant. But I'm not sure so I want to ask someone who has used it. Or anyone that has used something else that is simple enough for me to do. Cause I'm not sure. What did you do? Do you know about transferring voicemails? Messages from passed loved ones that we want to save. Anyway Thank you for any help you can give me on any of this. @@RieeBellaHoney Hi. Yes, when we migrated between the phones we followed all of the steps and it transferred all of the messages, selected apps and logins over. Now some of that I guess is Google dependent some Samsung itself. Never used any of the Samsung specific apps for messaging or anything else so can't speak for those. It definitely didn't miss out anything that we needed.

The transfer seemed to work all the messages came over in the apps required format. I clicked ok then went back into Textra (my texting app) but there were no additional texts. What did I do wrong?

Does it also transfer pictures from text messages. Do you know if it works for the text program called 'Textra" ? Does this program only transfer SMS messages or does it copy all the apps, phone numbers, etc to the new phone?

Nope - Will not transfer over Bluetooth, and if old SIMM disabled because new phone has same number, you are SOL with this app.
