Tutorial worked for me. Luckily did not have any issues with my SD missing files after creating emunand. I even have all of my installed games on the new SD. Was so worried I was going to have to start fresh, glad I didn't. Thank you!!!

@@unbreakabelYeah, you don't delete anything on your original SD card. You're duplicate everything to your laptop first and work off the duplicate.

This is NOT working for me. I can create the backup with my old card. When I insert my new card (which is what I assume we're supposed to do, you skipped that in the tutorial) and I add the file to create emuMMC, it acts like it is doing it. However, when it is done, my new card has lost its format, when you click on it, it will sk me to insert a disk. I have tried multiple times, I do not know what I did wrong.

i had the same issue put the sd card out of your computer wait about 10 seconds than insert it again and it should work

i had the same issue. so i tried buying another sd card. and same result happens, then i tried using another card reader and it worked fine.

Coz it is fat32 if you creat emummc it will show error. So must be exfat.

This worked for me for 1TB. I had a lot of issues with partitions not being recognised using other methods. Would clarify - the exFat step point. and any specific details there. Also useful to mention the times taken for each step. The ini file change from RAW to these values - any issues?

Hi, thanks for your tut. Do this also work with emunand folder on sd card ? I tried drag and drop from old to new sd card, i Format the new sd card with hekate menu. But switch gave me an pkg1 corrupt error or bootloder fail😢

So this might be a silly question. I have the 29GB partition made on a 128GB SD card and everything is on the 29GB partition and nothing is on the other 89GB. How do I use the other partition for storage? or what can I move to the larger partition?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm thinking it would be possible to do this sd card transfer but in the process convert to an sd card with a partition emummc, instead of my existing sd card with a sd file emummc setup. I am getting a new card soon and was just going to start from scratch again, as I realise sd file emummc setup is slower and not as good as partition now.

Question?? Will using nx nand manager to full dump modified switch's primary sd card files to desktop will delete everything on the modified switch 's primary sd card ? Will doing full dump only dump the the emunand stuff or will it also dump all previously installed games and safe files of modified switch's primary sd card on desktop ?? How to not include previously installed game/updates/dlcs of primary sd in the full dump to desktop so that one can later install other games/updates/dlc on the new SD card? Can both primary and new SD cards be used on same modified switch without issues turn by turn this way??

Hey guys cant I just use 2 SD cards and remove 1 SD card and put in 2 SD card. And just partition it and create emmunand? And just sometimes use that one and sometimes that one

I finished your steps, partition looked good. sd was empty, copied everything from back up again (took forever since there's 200gb of data) Popped it in the switch, said I was missing two .lib files and needed to update my bootfolder. Plugged it back in the pc, sd card is empty again. 11hrs to copy the back up sd to the new one. Have you seen this before by any chance? I'm super surprised it was empty again the second time.

I copied the back up to the sd card a second time, and still when I try to inject the payload it says, Missing LPO lib, missing minerva lib, update bootloader folder. When I put the sd card back in the pc, it's empty again, but now twice the data is used when I check it's space, I'm assuming because I copied the back up twice now.

If you change the emummc text at the last part as I show it should. I read some forums saying that that helps. Another method would be creating a clone of your SD card but that would require downloading a cloning program

If you have an emummc, no. If you don’t then yes you can just drag and drop

@@cafemolido5459emummc is a separate partition you made when you're "jailbreaking" your switch from the begining. that's usually recommended so you can boot into emummc instead of sysand. you always boot into emummc when modding games, cheats, homebrew etc and have blocked nintendo servers, but if you want to play online that's when you boot into your sysnand which is essentially original firmware instead of custom firmware. if you didn't create an emummc (which you should have, unless your switch is already banned) then you don't have to follow this guide and all you do is copy and paste files from one sd card to the other.

after doing this non of the games open on the new SD it says "This software is not currently on the console. Please redownload the software to continue. If the software was originally download to a microSD card, please cancel, turn off the console, and insert that microSD card." Tinfoil gives me the same error when trying to open, but when i insert back the old sd card, everything works fine.... I dont know what to do anymore.

Make sure the Nintendo_path in the emummc.ini is correct (3:35). I accidently put the path behind Emutendo (emutendo/emumcc.....) but it should be emuMMC/ER00/Nintendo. I also changed the folder name ER00 To RAW1 don't know if this would help but i did it with the thought that Tinfoil might use that path instead of ER00. Can't confirm this. If you do change the folder name don't forget to change ER00 in the emummc.ini to RAW1 for both path and Nintendo_path. And don't change the sector and ID. you might end up in a boot loop but easily fixable.

Yes I did, it was a txt file I had to modify on the sd card, i forgot which one, but I needed the folder directory pointing to the correct folder, this is why it was causing this issue@@s4c940

what is the brand name of the fake? Have you verified the true capacity of the card? as most fakes have a fake capacity e.g it'll say 1tb but once you run it through a proper SD troubleshooter program it'll be a smaller capacity

First, all of your videos are outstanding. The 3ds, wii, Wii U,.......all cakewalks. The Switch was very different and most tutorials suck. Yours was excellent. The custom themes one was excellent. This one though is not making sense to me. Why not just pull it all over once you run the NXNand? For example I am now at the part pulling in the Nintendo folder with 220gb out games which will take hours and then you say that if nothing shows up it is ok just grab everything from the back up folder you made and pull it in. Why not just do that from the beginning after you completed the NX portion on your old SD and new one? If I wait 3 hours and nothing is there I have to pull it all over again anyway so why not just do the sure fire thing first? Honestly a question. Zero complaining or disrespect. Your videos are second to none. Just asking because this one to me does not make sense.
