Those save managers were first 3DS homebrew applications, because I remember using JKSV when I wanted to use PKHex on my Pokemon Y save file, then eventually found Checkpoint

​@ToxicMothBoi i used to use awoo before but last year i learned about tinfoil, i downloaded it but thought it was useless because i didn't know how to use it, until this year where i learned that i had to put the shop code myself, ever since learning that information i stopped using awoo ever again (until spark the electric jester 3 released which i wanted to play but wasn't on tinfoil)

you can also connect the unsupported controllers by using the unstable ble module for mission control which adds support for the xbox series controllers and other ones like the google stadia controller

Retroarch on switch is alright, but in most cases you should just use standalone emulators since they tend to be a lot better optimized than retroarch cores. Also the owners of Retroarch are not great, being known to harass and bully emulator developers.

I'm guessing it was probably the same way for Bernardo. A lot of people say the save tools on WiiU aren't as organized or good, but I've never used them to have an opinion.

Sry I’m late but yes you can play online. Atmosphere custom firmware has an emunand (offline only) and sysnand (online allowed but u risk being banned if u pirate games/use bad mods online). So if you boot into sysnand and use things you know are safe then you can play online. Use emunand for stuff that isn’t safe cuz u wont get banned there after setting up exosphere

Switch is native so it's better than the deck. Even my modded 3ds does better gba native playback better than the latest android or iphone. No visual jitter when battles start or walking. Yes you have games that will lag natively on switch like scarlet and violet but it won't crash like it could easily on emulation.

modded 3ds xl will be much easier because you have to install a modchip for the switch lite so I'd go with that

Yeah only v1 switch is easier to hack. The rest v2 and oled and lite you need to physically alter the switch internals which you might not want to do depending on the person. Trust tho I want to mod my v2 badly cause games even off fb marketplace are hard to even get half off. As for 3ds i was lazy and bought a new 3ds models modded already but 3ds is alot easier and for pokemon for example you have access to gen 1 to 7 on one device basically all natively.
