Question: Technically speaking, does this mean that if you only carry hand luggage and don’t have a check-in luggage, then you don’t need to pass through the immigration? I’m planning to buy separate tickets from different airline companies but not sure about the self-transfer. You know, I don’t want to be quarantined in Korea, so expensive! Please educate me. You needn't to go through customs while during transit. Customs area only for those whos enter korea as visitors etc.
