At idea phase, concepting phase using lavarier microphone with mobile phone and recorder is super handy. I just press record when I take walks or have state of vision. After that, you can import sound track into video editing, and start slapping images over voice line per/idea.

Thanks so much for sharing your process! Super insightful. I've pumped the brakes on my shorts production ideas in favor of working on our game (I had to pick one lol... not enough hours in a day to tackle all the things right now, and the game seems more fun)... but I think Milanote looks like a great fit to help storyboard and plan the game ideas!

Yes! Milinote would be perfect for storyboarding and planning your game! I think you can get started with a free account, which is really cool. I highly recommend checking it out. Absolutely, I'm glad the video could help. Thank you for watching brother!

Do you have an Amazon list for budget gear? Like lighting softboxes etc?

Hey, great question! I have been meaning to put one together for some time now, but haven't had a chance yet. But I can offer couple of recommendations if that helps! A few lights that come to mind are the Amaran 60X, the Zhiyun X60 or the Amaran 200d. All really great lights at an affordable price. My favorite of the three would be the Zhiyun X60 because it's bi-color, RGB and has some effects as well. It's also really small and it comes with a battery which makes it portable, but it also has the ability to plug in to an outlet, which has really come in handy on longer shoots. It's also a powerful light for how small it is. I made a video about this light and the different ways it can be used, I added a link to the video below if you're interested in checking it out. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mGSXc4uPhdelj5Isi=SIxZk95-vY6eT-Wu In terms of a softbox, I feel that the Aputure 6090 is a solid choice. It's a bit of a pain to set up, but I just always keep it set up and it works out great. But if you don't mind that, it's a great softbox at a great price point. I think Godox has a few options as well. I hope this helps! Thank you so much for watching the video, it truly means a lot. Cheers!

The issue with something like this is that as you add this, add that, ten here, 20 there, you realize your dropping $300 a month a may be making zero return.
