It’s funny how someone is complaining about how he’s using expensive stuff to film this when it states how to make a video the inexpensive way…. When he’s doing the floating clip he’s using a chair instead of cables, forklift, etc. what do people expect? It cost money to make videos nothing is free. Thank you for making these videos for us to watch and learn for FREE. Thank you because most of us on here really appreciate what you do for us.
@kaurnikita7 ай бұрын
Well, if the video was called "cheap ways to do cool shots\practical effects" - I'd be with you. But I don't believe you can claim NO BUDGET filmmaking while shooting on a 2.5k blackmagic with a 2k telephoto slapped on. I still enjoy the creativity on display here, just the title is a little misleading.
@jeremiaslarrocca89056 ай бұрын
Well, the thing is that you dont need to do THAT floating clip shot. Part of making low budget films is searching for alternatives. I actually partially agree with you, there is always a minimum cost, but when I put myself in the beginners shoes, I could also say this is no way the more economic budget-quality ratio, so I get those beginners complaining about his budget. Nothing is free, but this is didnt cost the minimum required to get a good quality filmmaking and it must be clear, because if beginners (or even pre-beginners) misunderstand that, is gatekeeping. I know, it isnt maybe a big deal for some, but as someone who has studied filmmaking and now is working in advertising, and also coming from a poor country which also make great films, I needed to say that, I hope I didnt sound rude, and no-one takes it as a personal attack.
@cjtrent19696 ай бұрын
People make this same quality films with phones
@ChrisAdamsMLPАй бұрын
Yeah I think his ultimate point is "no budget" = "use what you already have". He's not expecting folks to just go out and shoot exactly what he did with no gear. This is moreso advice for folks who have already paid the entry fee into filmmaking aka bought a camera and some accessories. Use what you have is a great mentality. If you have an expensive dslr, dope! If you have an iphone your no budget filmmaking will just be different, and still dope!
@ModernFounder10 ай бұрын
I've been making videos for 14 years. I've owned three friction arms almost identical to yours for probably 8 years. I use them probably twice a year and never creatively. I couldn't even believe the wildly creative ways you use friction arms when watching you pull off some of these shots for this series. Your mind blows my mind. Keep these coming my friend.

Tbh a camera and a lens is literally no-budget when compared to film budgets lol 😅 this dude created a lot with just a tripod and friction arms

We could assume you have no friends? How could give you a hand, anyway I don’t see your point when mentioning click bait, he just shows how one with creativity, a camera, few tubes, tape and ropes could make awesome shots
