FYI for anyone else doing this Lowes sells old work junction boxes made by Southwire that have a plastic hole saw on the back of the box that makes it super easy and fast to make the holes for the junction box. Best part is the “saw” portion of the box pops off when you’re done. Makes it super fast and easy after you find your centers.

Soooo let me get this straight - the old wiring is powering BOTH new lights? You have the old wiring going to one new light that is coupled with the new wiring for the other light?
