How To Transform Your Home With A Board And Batten Wall For Less Than $50

Welcome to this week's 2 Easy DIY Home decor! This week, I will show you an easy DIY Board and Batten Wall for under $50! In this video, I will show you an easy board and batten installation instructions that is easy to follow. This board and batten wall you don’t need to remove baseboards. I have enclosed a easy formula that you can use to determine how much space you need for each board for your own board and batten wall. Next, I will show you an easy wall gallery arrangement hack by using paper to help you arrange a picture collage on your wall also using some left over paint you can paint over your old picture frames to reuse them for a dramatic effect! Next, I will show you have dress up your picture frame mats with a stencil!

Hey Christine, thank for sharing your projects. I love how creative you are and that your husband works along with you. I'm a big fan of yours and still working my way through your past videos. (I just discovered your channel a couple months ago). I have a tip for cutting word. I work with word and MDF often. In order to get a smooth cut, i put a piece of masking tape across my cut line. The result is great. I never have to sand off any jagged edges. Have a great weekend. I look forward to more videos.

You did it again! This another one of those things I've really wanted to do!! My guest room was badly damaged in a flood or 3... so work will commence soon and I've wanted too do this look in that room for YEARS! I'm converting into a part guest room, part sewing/craft room room and part recording studio and I just think this will look lovely. Plus, I a bit of sound proofing that doesnn't show, so I may add flat panels first, then add the board and batten. I think I'll do the boards in a greyish green with dark antique wax or glaze. Or maybe I'll do faux wood? Then with a contrasting colour in the inner panels like a 3 colour contrast in the beige, cream, tan family with a cloudy faux marble/ stone effect with embossed stencils on top. With maybe a faux stone block effect above the board and batten to match the hallway outside the room. And with desperately needed shelving anywhere I can squeeze them in, for all my endless craft supplies to finally have an official home. It would be nice to see my dining room table again! lol And the other side of the room is screaming for a matching built in bench/single bed with storage below and more shelves above! And pray I have no more floods before I can sell this place! lol It's just amazing to see the before and after contrast in your room!! It's just stunning and adds so much charm!! And considering the price, it really adds interest, texture, style and I'll bet some money to the resale value because it just has that grand look!! I may add some to the ceiling to marry the look, it's not a big room and I have some stunning new two part ceiling stencil panels that would look amazing framed by the panels!! You've inspired me again!! Thank you!! You are awesome!! Happy Halloween!

Loved the video. I just did a board and batten wall in white in the guest room.... the top 1/4 was navy wallpaper with a woodland theme with deer heads with large antlers, branches and vines and birds. What a difference! Now i want to do some of those patterned mats. But I am always impressed when people measure and plan a gallery wall. I put up the two largest frames and eyeball the rest. It works for me everytime.

Love your style!! But I love, love the glimpses of your animal babies throughout your videos. The cat seemed rather bored and annoyed until you were finished. I wonder if I would have allergies to that type of cat? Also, when you redo a piece do you sand it before redoing?

Hi Tracy, I don't sand generally when I repaint I think of the piece having now a "primer/base coat". I have cat alleriges and this kind of cat I don't have any issues with. I am allergic to fur. ❤️🎨🙏

always paint the wall first, then paint the battons before nailing gluing them in. Saves time. Then just caulk the holes, sand lightly and paint over the caulk!

What a excellent video. love the wall, sure makes a difference to the room. Love the idea of stenciling the inner matt for the frames, what about using the stencil with gold or silver foil and foil glue? I think that would look amazing. Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful ideas. Keep them coming.

Your bedroom wall looked fabulous! And what a snip of a price..wood is so expensive again in the uk so it's brilliant to be able to get a pack of boarding to do projects with for a good price. You really do have the most adorable fur babies & a fur less pussy cat 🐈,she has the most amazing eyes. Your puppas run a real mock 😂😂😂 and why not I say,they are part of the family and its their home aswell ❤..just a wonderful family living the best life..have a wonderful weekend.
