this is , great and thank u, But I alter the crossfade from 50% to 75% from A to B which works fine. But when I do other way round deck B to deck A also adjusted to 75% - from deck B to deck A the Crossfade does not move or work. Do you have a work round for this please? [maybe i have to reset to middle] then use 75% from deck B to A = How please. Thank you.

Assuming you used the mapping in the video, placing the crossfader at 75% will work fine for transitioning from deck A to deck B but because the crossfader will be moved to the right. What you need to do so it works the same for transitioning from deck B to deck A is move the crossfader to the left. This means that instead of placing the crossfader at 75%, you should instead place it at 25%. This is because when you place the crossfader at 0% then the crossfader will be positioned at the far left side meaning that only Deck A will be audible; placing the crossfader at 100% will position the crossfader at the far right side meaning that only Deck B will be audible. Try changing the crossfader mapping from 75% to 25%. If you have any difficulties after trying that, don't hesitate to ask. 😊😊😊

Just a tip: Using the Echo effect in Virtual DJ often creates harsh transients, if you use the "Echo Out" effect (it's a native effect but it's an extension you need to install) your echo freezes will sound much better.

Just posting a follow up to this, the "Echo Out" effect has one downside, if you change the tempo of the track after you echo out the echo effect doesn't follow the tempo.

Thank you YSe for the informative video on custom mapping. This weekend, I provided DJ services to 300 students. Normally, I would initiate the transition to the next song during the last 30 seconds of the current song. However, I was asked to initiate the transition halfway through the current song. Is there any way I can smoothly map the transition during the middle of the song and start the next song without any glitches? Can I use Smart Automix for this and add an echo effect by pressing a single key on my laptop? I would appreciate your solution. Thank you again!

Hi @Simon, thanks for your question. Your effect continues playing because you have not set the echo effect to 'mute source'. To do this, click on the '+' sign next to the echo effect and a menu should open where you can be able to 'mute source' among other adjustments. Let us know if you have any difficulties.

How do you echo out from one deck to another as soon as I switch to the second deck the echo stops, but I want it to have more of a transition

Hi @BMac 👋 Have you made sure that you have both decks audible? You can check this by (assuming your using the pro skin) making sure that the two headphones in the middle of the screen, next to the equilizer knobs are highlighted. Feel free to ask for more assistance if this doesn't work. Cheers 😊

Hi @T3KDJ ☺️👋 If you wanna map the echo out effect to your keyboard, then use the following action: effect_active "echo out" And remember that this mapping will activate echo out on the selected deck. All the best in your DJ journey 😊😊😊

Try changing the mapping to the following: deck 1 effect_active 'echo out' & crossfader 50% &deck 2 play Also make sure you have installed the ECHO OUT effect. STEPS: Go to settings Open extensions Open effects tab Search "echo out" Install the echo out effect by "automix production" ( it's the blue one ) Hope this works 🤞 But Incase it doesn't or if you need more help with virtual dj, I'm only I comment away 😊
