Hey Kathleen! Thank you so much for sharing all your knowledge and expertise. How do you suggest transporting bouquets with longer stems? I find the boxes I use are too short for the taller vases and they wobble! (and sometimes the style of the bouquets I'm doing look better with a longer stem). Thank you!
@LittleBirdBloom4 жыл бұрын
Great question - I’d probably skip the cardboard box altogether if the vase tends to tip over. Or you might try add brown paper / extra packaging before you put the vase in the box 💝

Thanks for the video! May I know how should I do with a cascading bouquet? Thank you
@LittleBirdBloom3 жыл бұрын
You're welcome 😊 And I would cut out the corner of the cardboard box, pull the tissue over the cut edge and then allow the bouquet trail to spill out over the corner.

Hi there! Thank you for the tips. I was wondering if you would share where you purchase your boxes from and the dimensions? Thank you!

Hi! Here is a link to the ones we can get here in Australia: www.koch.com.au/buy/posy-box-large-with-flap-white-22x14cmh/14937swh If it's helpful, I've found these boxes are typically sold at wholesalers who sell the very traditional (old school) floristry materials.

Hey Kathleen! Thank you again for an amazing video. Even with little water in the vase, I find that during the drive to the brides house, water ends up touching the ribbon and I have no idea how we can stop this, if I have drivers delivering them to the location?
@LittleBirdBloom4 жыл бұрын
You can always just use wet paper towel (no water). But also be mindful of when they’re being dropped off versus when they’re delivered - do they need more water between then (hot days)? And definitely give instructions to your clients to pull off the paper towel before they hit the aisle 🤗

I’ve watched a few of your wrapping videos. Could your “non-woven” tissue be Rice Paper in North America?
@LittleBirdBloom3 жыл бұрын
That looks super fascinating - I've never heard of it before. I did a bit more research and it is still labelled as "non woven" in North America. Here is an example floralsupply.com/product/non-woven-colored-floral-wrap-deco-sheets-for-flowers-case-of-1000/

How do you manage rehydrating the flowers if the ribbon covers the stems? Do you just have to forfeit hydration throughout the day for that style?
@LittleBirdBloom Жыл бұрын
You can always decide to keep the ribbon a little shorter and the handle a bit longer if you want to be able to place it in the vase after the ceremony. In my experience after the ceremony + photos, the flowers are fairly wind-swept, depending on how much running around the bride has done during the photos. So that's something else to keep in mind too 🥳
@katyb2793 Жыл бұрын
@@LittleBirdBloom that makes sense, thank you!

Question for you, do the flowers need to be kept cold while transporting and before the wedding? How long do they last without refrigeration?
@LittleBirdBloom3 жыл бұрын
It totally depends on the flowers you're using and how warm your temperatures are - your mission is to get the blooms to be at their peak just in time for the ceremony so you do want to have them nice and open a full. Refrigeration will keep the blooms closed, and fresher for longer. So it's worth playing around a bit and figuring out what works in your area based on the blooms you're using. 💖

What do you tell the bride and bridesmaids how to treat the flower during the wedding day?
@LittleBirdBloom Жыл бұрын
When we do the bouquet drop-off, I give them a rundown on how to hold + care for their bouquets. We also find a place within the bridal suite to keep them out of the way, but looking great for the photographer. 😇
