Back in the 80s and 90s airlines always overbooked their flights. I always volunteered to get bumped and I made $1000 to $1500 each time in travel money plus they put me up in a hotel and gave me food vouchers for the restaurant in the hotel. I never paid for a flight.

I heavily emphasized not to take on debt you can’t afford to pay back on that specific payment cycle and not to spend what will be rolled over from month to month for 28-30% APR.. however if you are going to spend the money anyway and pay it back that month, it makes sense to use the right cards and maximize the rewards

Amex platinum card fee is $695/ year. Gold card fee is $250/year. Points only apply to specific restaurants & stores. I canceled mine after many years. Didn’t get points when shopping or out to dinner due to places I frequent were not part of their rewards program.

The points game is fun, but there's a lot of depth with it and it's really easy to get locked out of a ton of value. For example, you almost never want to start with amex (and when you do, you want to work your way up to the plat due to the family rules). You typically want to start with chase due to 5/24 (their no fee ur cards, the sapphire preferred and then repeatedly farm inks) and work your way up from most restrictive lenders to the least

I got the Amex card that puts you in the Amex lounge anytime you want to as well as the Delta lounge only way to fly..if you fly often enough for business it’s worth it.

These offers and points, and CC offers will all change and end as the economy gets worse just like everything else! Almost nobody will qualify, and they will stop offering credit to most. Also, you can't just keep getting more and more cards, etc.

I think I heard him talking about buying commercial real. Estate or whatever, but that seems like a horrible idea with regards to where things are going. Buying land, I think, is a good idea. But at this point I would be better off just holding onto my money. In some capacity that is safe and seeing. Where all of this shakes out because they're just finding new ways to rob us. And the more money you have to pay the taxes, and whatever else, the better.
