Hi! I have a European passport too and went to Istanbul from Greece with a bus and didn’t have a problem. You just have to be patient because there might be other busses too!

Probablemente tendrás que llegar a Cesme en Turquía y luego tomar un ferry a la isla de Chios en Grecia. Los pasaportes se revisan antes de abordar el ferry a Grecia. :)

Hello! I used my European ID card too so I think you should be ok since it is like the airport. I would recommend you double check online.

How long does it take from Ceşme to Chios? Do they ask for passport?

It takes around 30-40 minutes it’s very quick! Yes they ask for your passport since you are entering another country.

It takes about an hour if I remember correctly but you got to factor in the traffic too! But it was comfortable ride and didn’t take long.

sorry but you don't show if is it possible to to athens directly by chios island , you switch chios and depart by cesme , is it possible ?

Going between Chios and Athens is direct but if you enter Turkey, then after Chios you enter through Cesme.
