That looks like a yellow turnip/Swede/rutabaga. That is one of my favorite vegetables. I always cut it into pieces, boil it and mash it with butter & milk, in the same manner as you would make mashed potatoes.

How are you able to average $25 a day for accommodations? That seems very low. Is Trusted House Sitters the way you are able to do it?

Hello, we use a variety of things. We utilize credit card points and frequent traveler benefits from booking platforms for free stays in expensive areas ( in addition to housesitting). This is also an average across our year, so we may spend more than that while in Scotland but then much less than that while in Albania if that makes sense. This year our average has gone up to around $35 due to inflation everywhere! Thanks for watching! Happy travels.
