In the mountainous region of Rio de Janeiro there is a beautiful city called Duas Barras. (near Nova Friburgo) It is a tourist city of 10 thousand inhabitants. The city was colonized by Germans and Swiss. American singer Leny Kravitz was enchanted by the city and bought a beautiful farmhouse. They usually live there 6 months of the year. The city has beautiful waterfalls and beautiful mountains. It is one of the safest cities in Rio de Janeiro.

Hey man great and helpful video. Actually did I hear than you have like to use the Costa Verde buses you need the physic ticket? So if you buy it online you need to go to the office to they change the QR code to pyhsic? And one question did you recommend to change and have physic money like Reales or can I use my credit card for everything there? Thanks so much

Hey there! Thanks so much for watching! Yes, you need the physical ticket. This was the only bus to Paraty if there is where you are going. or along that route. Beautiful drive along the coast! I bought our ticket on busbud.com than you take it to the counter there and show them and they print the ticket for you. Credit card is widely accepted, just beware of the card scams. they will tell you it is "X" amount of money and then charge you a lot more on the card reader. ALWAYS ask for a receipt, no matter how small the purchase is. I would carry some cash, it is useful to have!

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by! I don’t think there is a toilet on the bus. I did not see one, but I could be wrong. We sat in the front and don’t go in the back. There is 1 bathroom break of the 4.5 hour drive and it’s a little over an hour in so make sure you get it all out at the stop lol

Generally companies with longer bus routes have buses with bathrooms, but I warn you that the bathrooms are only for urinating or for extreme emergencies.

@@samandnick well most part of the people I know start it from the top. I do this too... because the upper part is crunchy. But people who starts on the "but" as we say (lol - sorry, but we are brazilians!!) say that as the cockie resembles a chicken leg you should eat as you it a real chicken leg, holding it in the tip! PS. the translation for Coxinha is "little chicken leg"

Is it true that foreigners cannot buy bus tickets online to travel around Brazil because foreigners do not have CPF ?? :(

We bought our tickets on Busbud.com and seemed to work fine! You just have to go to the ticket office at the station to claim the tickets. For airfare that is kind of true. If you have a CPF, the fare is pretty inexpensive but if you dont, then the airfare is incredibly expensive!
