This is a very common route. There are lots of places to visit. Recommend to going Nuwara Eliya, haggala garden, minneriya national park, wilpaththuwa national park, yala national park, kumana national park (birds), Anuradhapura-ancient capital with lots of Buddhist temples, Trincomalee, nilaweli beach, pasikuda, arugambay, jaffna, delft, nagadeepa islands, Polonnaruwa, pidurangala, sinharaja jungle, galle fort and many more............Love my country

Hello yes it is a recommended route for people without months and months! a route for holiday makers of a stay up to a month. Also I did mention Yala, polonnaruwa and gale fort. I did go to Anuradhapura but I would recommend either pollonaruwa or Anuradhapura to other tourists. Unless they absolutely love that kind of thing but for people with not that much time Pollonaruwa is where I would personally suggest because of the location as well as the fact its more intact. HI Emily, this is very good video and hats off to you for doing a detailed one. in your visit to Galle, you should have visited jungle beach in Unawatuna. Also, you said that you didn't find Hikkaduwa fascinating. Hikka used to be a beautiful place before the Tsunami. The was a beautiful coral reef which is dead now. Another top spot to visit is Trincomalee and Arugambay,,,

Hey, thanks for the compliment! yes for sure there are, this guide is a realistic idea of what people can get up to in a normal 2-4 week vacation/holiday. Imagine doing the other 80 percent in a vacation! You wouldn't get to sleep haha. Like I said in the video too, this is based also more on the southern areas because of the different climate.

Lovely video and useful travel tips. As a former Sri Lankan citizen and now a naturalized U.S. citizen I plan to visit Sri Lanka with my wife for the 5th time come September. We will be joining a small group of international tourists to do a 9 day tour titled 'Classical Sri Lanka' organized by Insight vacations Luxury Gold. This was the only American company that had a Sri Lanka tour. We have been doing international tours since our retirement in 2012. So far we have visited Italy,Israel, France, the U.K, Ireland Portugal and Spain. Every time we visit Sri Lanka we also visit India where we have relatives. @@EmilyHamilton. That sounds exciting. We were in Cozumel Mexico briefly as part of a cruise we did on the Norwegian Epic late 2016. Looking forward to watching your next video. We were in Paris in June 2016; it was so sad to see the beautiful Notre Dame Cathedral ,which we visited while on a tour of France, in flames.I am determined to see it after it's restored. Fortunately the basic structure of the cathedral was saved , including several artifacts; the 'Crown of thornes,' being the most famous.
