Omg, this is very helpful! I can drive, but I don't own a car and the whole process of car rental gives me a lot of anxiety, so that always deterred me from going to the highlands. So this has definitely inspired me to plan a trip there!

Any recommendation for cheap lodging in malliag? Also where did you rent a car from?

We stayed in the Mission Bunk House in Mallaig, pretty cheap and fairly basic, but clean and really convenient. I cant remember which company we used to rent the car. We just googled rent car Skye and emailed them.
