From what I gather, Michael Brown repented to his wife and appologized to the woman 23 years ago. He shared with other men anf got counciling. He then set up accountability and set up boundaries which he has helped orher pastors do this as well. Some people are jumping to conclusions and acting like he was hiding sin and assuming the worse. It is unwise to jump to conclusions you don't know all the details about. Seems people are eager to jump on someone without knowing all the facts. Dr. Brown is a God-fearing man. If a non-physical emotional tie to a married woman 20 years ago is the worst thing, this speaks to his cleanliness in Christ rather than corruption. People are making a fuss because he is being transparent and openly repentant about it, but this is actually another sign of Christian character. How would you feel if someone attacked you for a non-physical emotional relationship from over 20 years ago? Especially one that you came clean about and confessed to your spouse and others already? And if that’s the biggest issue you had, would you think people were justified in telling you to step down or treating you like a hypocrite? Think of something you’ve done in the past 20 years that you repented of… Now imagine people are attacking you today for something non-physical you repented of for over 20 years ago. To me, if this is the worst that can be said about him, it makes him stand out as solid and, the fact that this is being blown out of proportion, makes me think it is an attack of that accuser of the brethren.
@icemanred8 күн бұрын
What kind of rationalization is this? He kissed the woman and smacked her on the behind. That is physical. Just because intercourse never happened doesn't make it non-physical.
@jaket80518 күн бұрын
@@icemanred true. And he fully admitted to wrong doing and repented as is proper according to scripture. but how many people do you know that would stop there? Have you ever kissed someone you are not married to? Someone you may have been dating? You will be judged by how you judge others.

So holding hands is non-physical? Should we applaud him for that? H‘a unfit for ministry, point period. There’s a definite and biblical standard so many of you conveniently overlook. He‘s a false teacher and will stay that way, repented solely because the victim spoke out. This argument is ridiculous.

You glorified his sin. That's crazy.Hes always been false. If he hurt his wife, that's enough sin against God. We minimize what David did because of forgiveness. But lives were changed from his sin and he sinned against God. You are seriously minimize of even glorifying cuz you agree with Brown. You don't care about the people directly affected. I'm currently struggling with sin against myself because it was life changing. It's forgivable but don't minimize sin like this.

I just hope and pray the Dr Michael Brown believes in eternal salvation is real and good news. If it was up to us we will not make it. It is God’s plan that saves us. His grace is sufficient. Corinthians 12:9 New International Version 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. I pray this life lesson teaches him and others a lesson. We all fall short of God’s glory and through life God will teaches us how Good and Awesome He is. And like a great Father He will teaches us what’s good and what’s not, and show us that we are nothing without Him. That we are hot mess and we desperately need Him.

I live in my own little world because I have never heard of Dr. Michael Brown until very recently. There are a number of the fallen preachers I know of because of name recognition, but not because I have watched them. I did watch Robert Morris on Sunday morning many years ago after my husband and I were trying to find a new church. However, when the Holy Spirit woke me up and showed me that I was not being fed but entertained, as well as being taught falsely, I split! That was when I was also introduced to Jimmy Evans. When I was first saved, I watched Christian television all the time, thinking that was what I was supposed to do. Thankfully, the Holy Spirit was doing His job and He showed me that I needed to trust His Word, not those on Christian television. This was in the 80s so there was only one channel at that time.

Why is anyone making a deal out of something that happened over 20 years ago that relative to other things and not too big of a deal and not even really comparable to the sin or sins of Stephen Lawson I get it people want a spiritual role model. They want to see the work of God and someone’s heart in life, external to their own experience and perception of their internal state, and a lot of people put a lot of weight behind it and there is some valid logic there to make it kind of a measuring stick, but not an axiomatic unequivocal one that would be absurd. Someone's lack of sanctification is not a strong indication. Of the absence of it and does his hand this paradigm would especially be a battle in the life of a person not experiencing a lot of personal divine transformation and sanctification so they put the reality of it on who they look up to and who they esteem in an then they fall short I get how that would mentally and emotionally testing but logically it’s not coherent to put too much weight on that. And it's not logical to make such a big deal or even a deal practically at all out of this ordeal.

To me, he sounds like my ex husband did when he got caught cheating and there was no way out but through. He admitted he did it and urgently pressured me to move past it, since ignoring and denying it was no longer working. To me, this man appears to be guilt tripping people, not repenting to them, and certainly not truly apologetic. He seems to believe he should be allowed to talk himself out of anything. That's a dangerous trait for someone in his position to exhibit. I feel terrible for his victim(s). Once again, he's exploiting them for selfish gain.

Your statement is very much aligned with my personal experience as the daughter of a "fallen pastor". I pray people will see through his narcissistic attempt to gaslight and continual abuse.

@MrsCreole Yes. And the same that the president of an international Christian homeschool program did when I was 16 and he found out I'd confided to someone that he was molesting me. She'd confronted him and initially he'd denied it and tried to call me from his office with her in the room to manipulate me into saying I had somehow misunderstood what was happening to me, but I stood my ground. I told him my housemates could all vouch for my absence in the evenings and into the wee hours of the morning while he groomed me for months. And at that moment, he said he needed to go and hung up the phone. I assume he excused the person from his office because he called back almost immediately to "apologize". He said on second, he did recall doing those things to me and he was terribly sorry and promised it was "out of character for him", then urgently asked my forgiveness before letting me know he'd have me flown back home that day and telling me to pack my bags immediately. I was sent home in disgrace and the staff were all told I had been sent home for admitting to committing fornication. You just can't make this stuff up.. But the only people who didn't believe it were my fellow housemates, and they only believed it because they saw him dropping me off after midnight some nights. One of them always had to stay up til everyone arrived home so they could report those who were out past curfew. They never reported me because they all saw the car that dropped me off ever night, but not a single one ever asked me why until the day I left. The truth is, it doesn't matter who people choose to believe in the end, the person with the bigger platform and the most money and popularity will almost always get away with their crimes. They exploit the God loophole in our brains that makes us want to trust and remain loyal to our Christian leaders. But one day, God will pay them the wages they have earned.

@@MrsCreole Yes. I was searching for even a hint of genuine meekness or humility in that entire statement but was unable to find it. And it seems he's fooled a lot of people with it because the man is great at obfuscating the facts through verbal slight of hand. We should forgive him regardless, that part isn't in dispute; but I have never seen a truly repentant person show zero discernable signs of humility while apologizing. Instead, I felt like he was rushing everyone to move along quickly, reminding them of all the really important ministry things he does, and trying to distract us by pointing out how long ago it happened, as if that makes any difference whatsoever. He just wants off the hot seat so he can get back to being proud of himself again, but not humble. Never humble. Granted, I hope I'm wrong, but if that's a true repentance then I'm my own grandpa. And either way, he's in the hands of God, so he won't be fooling anyone in the end because God is not mocked.

@@BelieveinChrist7Folks call him prideful, but he’s the only person on KZbin that’s says on every video “don’t put me on a pedestal, don’t take my word for it, pray about everything”. I never hear ANYONE…from Allen Parr, Corey, Ruslan, Kdub, Rick Caldwell. The only that says that is Marcus but he’s prideful. And he’s the only that comes on and admits when he’s wrong. I never see Corey or Kdub do that but Marcus is prideful? That’s interesting….

@FishermanBubb lol yeah it screams humility when you say "the Lord told me xyz", then the opposite of xyz happens, then it's "sorry guys, I missed it", over and over and over again. It's hard to take him serious as a result
@TheBrashBereans8 күн бұрын
@FishermanBubb saying, "Don't put me on a pedestal," "pray on it," and all that means absolutely nothing. He is constantly saying things like, "God told me this, and if you don't agree in the spirit, you're probably not filled with the spirit." That's controlling behavior and its wrong. You cannot tell people not to put you on a pedestal then say if you dont agree them they don't have the Holy spirit.

This is the constant problem we shall see as we conduct this type of ministry. Back and forth. We are all sinners. We stop acting as if we all are not in a progressive process- sanctification. To elevate his sin over mine or vice versa. Cory you should go back to identifying a problem and teach where one is wrong. But you should expose people to solid teaching that is out here. Celebrate some of those you respect. Help the saints C.

He has affirmed nearly every false teacher because he also is one. Treat him biblically, mark and avoid. Pray he repents and comes to faith in Christ alone. Warn people to avoid wolf brown and look to Christ.

Michael Brown has always given me bad vibes.. I could never quite put my finger on why.. I'm not sure if it's partly to do with his arminian position or the fact that he gives shade to a lot of questionable " Pastors" And the fact that he basically called Martin Luther an unsaved heretic during his sit down with Justin Peters. When in fact if it wasn't for Martin Luther and the Reformation he'd still be following under the old Testament Laws/Covenant since he also believe that we're the ones that choose Jesus and can also resist His grace, so by his own teachings he'd still be in his sins if it weren't or Martin Luther. I mean to be fair Michael Brown is from a Jewish background and Martin Luther said outrageous things about them.
@Ron-jw3ty8 күн бұрын
@firstroundboxing7649 Yes, but unlike how Michael Brown makes it sound, Luther's anger was not racially motivated. At first, he had a lot of positive things to say about the Jewish people. But as they continually rejected Christ, it most likely fueled his anger over the thought that they were the ones that called for Jesus to be crucified. I'm not condoning what Luther wrote, but we're all Sinners and have said and done things after being saved that we hope never sees the light of day But if what is being said about Michael Brown happens to be true, because allegedly there was more than one woman he was involved with, then he really doesn't have a right to be condemning anyone. What finallt did it for me with him was he actually went on Todd White's platform and appeated to be making fun of all the people who have called out his leg lengthening routine.

I am absolutely disgusted, baffled, and flabbergasted by the amount of people saying “he repented!!!” Are you unwell? Do you need to see a doctor? He needs to STEP DOWN. This is INEXCUSABLE in ministry. This is why Jamal Bryant, Marcus Rogers, and Joni Lamb, will continue to ABOUND. Wickedness. Absolutely wickedness.
