Yes, definitely as the roots are not working to absorb moisture from the medium, the plants do not have enough moisture in the leaves to withstand the high heat. Of course, this apply only to my hot and humid climate condition, temperate climate may not have this issue, i guess

Wow!!! Very good information. I noticed my jade plant leaves have black dried up ends on a few leaves, is that fungus too? Too much humidity? Poor ventilation? I placed them in my balcony and direct Mrng sun from 8-10am, windy because south facing balcony. What sld I do?
