I'm hesitant to even leave this comment, but I do think it's important for drummers out there who are researching soundproofing methods to know the difference. I think a better title for this video and your search tags would be something along the lines of "Get better acoustics in your drum studio for $150" None of these treatments, unfortunately, provide any actual soundproofing. The acoustics and reverb inside the room may be a bit better for recording, but based on what I can see/hear in the video, the same amount of sound/air is probably escaping the room. However, I appreciate everything you did in this video and 100% appreciate the work that goes into what you've done so far as I built my recording studio myself. Keep it up and I look forward to keeping up with your studio!

It's all good! I think I mean't more acoustic treatment than anything because it did make a huge difference, and I did a lot of discussing with other drummers online to see what worked and didn't. Sound proofing not so much, I agree there. But it does help even sound leaving the room too, especially using industrial blankets to seal the doors up. Totally respect the comment brother. Idk as much as some people out there at all haha.

Yo if you wanna massively up your drum recording game, you need bass traps in the corners. Those little foam things don’t do anything. You need mass, lots of mass, which means dense and heavy. Here’s the cheapest way to do it: Go to Home Depot and buy 4 bags of Roxie Safe N Sound. They’re $55 each. And simply place one standing up in each corner. You don’t even have to open the bag. It will make a YUGE difference in how your floor Tom’s and bass drums sound in the mics.
