Great video :) In France, the side of the mane do not matter but there is 2 wats of cutting : longer in the center or shorter. Shorter if you let the mane down so it gives the illusion of rounder neck. Longer if you braid because the scallop will be bigger and it will give the illusion of rounder neck, again :D

I used to cut my geldings mane just like this and thought I'd "do it the right way" by pulling it once. I've regretted it ever since! I'm so happy to see you do trim this way! Nice job!

I love that you don't get the really blunt edge with that technique, would love to see a video on your favourite grooming products and brands of other products you can't live without ❤️

Good tips. I use a solo comb to give it a more pulled look as my horse is a Connemara and I like to keep it nice and long 😊

Beautiful. There is an IR horse with Cushings who I groom and the owner cut her thick mane too short and now it's sticking out. Would it calm this look down to divide the hair in half and use thinning shears to thin out the under part? I don't take part in pulling.

As this is a how to (and I keep meaning to ask this!) would you or your mum be able to do a ‘how to’ on stretching your horses under saddle at some point? I know you’ve said before your Mum is the queen of stretching horses and I would loooove some of her knowledge as my boy is still only just getting the hang of it! 🙈

Like it and often do it the same, but sometimes (mostly with ponys and natives) the mane is so thick, that you just need to pull it :/

Thinning scissors are easier and give a nicer finish

don't trim your horses mane with a scissors ....you'll usually regret it.
