I can trim out the parts I don't want in my final video, but once I export it, all the stuff is still there. I have done everything I could to get rid of the beginning and end, but nothing has worked. You've wasted nearly 3 hours of my time.

this video is inaccurate i use the timming feature and put in the time i wanted the video to start and finish and the tool never edited out the other parts of the video 4:55 - 5:10 doesnt work or manually putting in the exact time doesnt seem to trim the video down at all why would i ever use arrow keys to go up and down or a slide bar to trim video when i want to have precision with a trimming tool and i dont want to use the zoom in feature i dont like it this new iteration of the trimming tool is very confusing and not very user friendly , i should be able to figure out how to use the tool on my own just buy opening the edit features i havent used this website in a few months because i spent hours going threw every single little thing on your website and could never figure out how to trim down videos and thats a huge problem i should never be forced to use a youtube training video for a critically important job like trimming down edits

I've personally have been using the software since roughly in the summer last year and the trimming tool was much easier to use then what it is now. Is there a possibility of re-adding the old Trim window back so there's multiple ways of trimming rather then the new interface?

I have been doing clips from KZbin vids. I'll use the timing button or the timeline and when I go to export the video -it will still start at the beginning and stay white until the times I chose and the pic will show for that amt of time then go back to white. Instead of just starting when the pic is up.

I think people cam find out how to trim. I've been working on a project for 2 weeks its got deleted remade, deleted again and again because i forgot about but then i started working on a project where it was too big i cut and trimmed clips out of the gameplay and i tested to see if it would be upload able. It wasn't. it counts as a extension of the exceeded video. And I don't see anywhere how to make it not like that.

go to the timeline of the video and click on the blank part, on the right there will be an option to delete it. do the same for all the blank parts (if there are more)

I'm not sure I understand your question? If you want to add text to the canvas use the "Text" on the left side and on the right hand panel you can add "Timing" to your canvas so it's not a picture but a video instead. Hope that helps.

I have a video that started as an old VHS tape that was later converted to a DVD I have converted it to an MP4 but because it was a VHS it runs on after the actual video that I want to keep and edit. Tablets with larger screens are oriented to be like using a PC and laptop so that should be similar. Phones have smaller screens so some features are not available. However, most features are just not placed in the same spot on the screen as computer.

I would like to know if there is a way to merge the clips back into one smooth clip once we have cut unneeded sections out? With the addition of the feature that removes silences, my video has turned into a lot of tiny clips and it's hard to work with them that way. Thanks!

If you want them all combined, you'd only be able to "merge" them via exporting the video and then you can re-upload it. Note, if you are a free user that will count as a watermark free export if this is one of the first three videos that month.

Weird... it should be there! Another work around is that you can go into the Settings of the project and turn Ripple Delete more on all the time. You can also reach out to [e-mail] if you're still having trouble!

@@Kapwing Hi I will try the method that you have suggested. I have difficulty in adjusting the timing 0f the video that I want to trim in between video. Eg I want to trim 1st part ( 0.15 s - 30 sec ) and another part (0.38 to 1.25 second) in the video. I have problem in adjusting my cursor to exactly the portions that I wanted to trim. I dont know if you need to buy the full version in order to trim down videos greater than 6gb, cause that is the issue...if you cant even upload your video for cutting, and it says the video is too big of a file...

When the video is longer than 7 minutes, is there a way to clip it in kapwing so it becomes shorter than 7 minutes? I don't have a way to shorten it prior to upload as I am not the creator. There are so many controls and buttons that it is impossible to figure out how to do this. On iphone movies, all I do I slide from both sides to get video I want, and save video. There is no intuitive way to do this on Kapwing without so many complications.

id like to slow down things so that I could edit more specifically, but when I do I only slow a single block, the speed goes back to normal for the rest. No offense, but the video could have been 1:30. Just a suggestion- but start with the clip on the screen, show how to trim it, then show how to save it. The end. You have 50 non sequitors in here that slow the video down and go way off point.

Can only delete one side of video. When trying to delete after part I want to save it turns into 'delete row' whatever that means. Cant export if video is longer than 7 minutes, but doesnt let you clip the video down to a length less than 7 minutes/.

Kapwing is broken. When I try to trim a longer video down to a few second clip I get the 250MB limit warning which prevents me from exporting it even though it's clearly much less than 250MB. I can load the 11 second sample and export it just fine.

I am VERY frustrated with Kapwing at the moment. I have a video that is one hour and 5 minutes long. Kapwing only works with Videos that are 1 hour long. All I need to do is split the video in half. Hi, I'm struggling. i created a video on my iphone. I uploaded it to kapwing from phone via chrome. I then shut down my account and went onto kapwing on my computer (it was easier). The video is there...BUT the pics under are all black. When I preview I hear the sound but there are NO pictures...I am failing at this! Ooo interesting, that's a request we don't hear a lot! Curious as to why you want to keep the watermark on? One strategy is you could make the video like normal with your Pro account, then sign out of Kapwing and upload the finished video into another Kapwing project which will add the watermark!

One important question, what if it says the video you're uploading (split multiple multiple times) is too big even though it's only 14 minutes long? And, even though it says that each of these clips are the same size, they are each incredibly small in different sizes? This is confusing, and I'm frustrated because I spent THREE hours making a Roblox video :(.

Hello! So our free users are allowed to use 30 minutes of video if it's less than 250 MB. If the files are larger than 250 MB, it doesn't matter how short the clip is, you need to reduce the size of the file. Hope that clarifies your issue. Happy creating!
