Great demonstration. Always nice to be refreshed on trimming up. I just did one yesterday. Glad you mentioned stretching of the fabric on the long arm. I now understand why there is some wonkier areas. Thanks

I use my 12" square and square up the four corners first before trimming the sides. I've taught many members in my club this technique.

That's why I showed that too. I just go for it with a straight ruler normally cause I make huge quilts and it's faster 😆

Tiffany, I don't know if you seen the quilts made on Olta's Quilts channel. She doesn't use patterns and free hand cuts the fabric shapes. You should check her out if you haven't already.
